Over the past few days, all up and down social media were the "new year new me" memes and quotes. As I read so many of them, I started to wonder if people really want to be "new" or are they just following the trends. What does it mean to be "new" and why does one think that it has to start on the first day of the new year? Being a new person is a daily task, every day you should wake up wanting to be better than you were the day before. It shouldn't take a post to make you want to change. I think people make the post because it's easier to post than it actually is easier to change.
If there is one meme that describes 2019 for me it would be this one...
2019 was rocky, it was a roller coaster but I survived physically, mentally, emotionally and financially. Your best YOU is ready to come out in 2020 but you have to be willing to get in the trenches and put in the work. Don't wait for a certain day to decide you want more, wake up everyday with change on your mind.
